Install Samsung G600 USB Driver on Ubuntu Linux

No need to install "Samsung PC Studio 3" or other software, 'cos you may (and probably will) get an error message. So you will not be able to connect your mobile phone to PC.
  1. DO NOT CONNECT PHONE TO PC JUST YET
  2. On your G600, go to 'Settings',
  3. 'Phone Settings',
  4. 'USB Settings',
  5. 'Mass Storage'
  6. Connect your G600 to your PC
  7. Go to My Computer,
  8. Removable Disc
There you go, drag and drop your files!

  2. I don't have a memory card so the phone doesn't appear as a mass storage device. That option is greyed and cannot be selected. Then what?

  3. I have the same problem, not having the option to click 'mass storage device'. What do I do now?

  4. I just plugged my actel ot606 in - hit the mass storage options on the phone - then it sees the mini sd card on the phone as any other file system - like a usb memory stick - then just drag and drop the mp3s across - excellent
